Unit 9 Blog!

Is everyone ready for this term to be over?!?! I am not sure if I am, but I know I am happy with my Final Paper!!! Anatomy & Physiology is a different story... The material is sooo interesting, and fun to learn, but I have trouble memorizing it all. Time for studying!!! I also haven't started my Unit 9 assignment, so you can guess what I am going to do when I am done blogging. Study.... study.... study! I am thankful that I am actually ahead in this class now! Getting priorities straight is hard, but very needed. I am not the greatest, but I am really trying. I want to applaud all my classmates, because I know y'all have too. Good luck! I will see everyone in class Monday.

Unit 8 Blog

I am sorry that this blog is late! I have been overwhelmed with finishing up on the term that the blog was just pushed to the back of my mind! Luckily I have a great professor who emailed me to remind me that I did not do it! I am feeling really confident about my paper, and I am almost done revising it. This class has made revising fun and easier than it has ever been. Thank you! Hope everyone is finishing up, and is happy with what we have achieved this term. Good luck! I know everyone appreciates how big of a help you have been this term professor. I wish you the best of luck in future classes, and all that you do.

Unit 7 Blog!

I am not sure I even want to write this blog. We are in week 7 and I guess since I have been so busy I haven't had time to get into it. I haven't been able to keep up with anyone's blog, and I never get comments on mine. I was really excited about the blog in the beginning, but now it feels like I just do it for the grade.Well that is okay. Lets talk about something more interesting.... OUR ROUGH DRAFTS!

I am running a little behind on my rough draft but will have it in tonight! If anyone wants to go back to the Unit 7 discussion I could really use the constructive critism! I also commented on two of my classmates if they want to check it out! I am excited to have time to do homework, but I miss my little girl so much. Since I moved so far away I let her stay at my parents for a week when I went there for Thanksgiving. I can't wait until she gets home, but I am going to use this time to spend with my husband, and catch up on things that I fall behind on when I put all my focus on her!

Unit 6 Blog

Unit 6 has been fun! I am a little backwards though. I did my outline before my rough draft, because that is how I always prioritize my paper. It keeps things in order, and helps me stay on the right track. This term has been hectic, but I am grateful for the professor's help, and the help of friends and family. God has blessed us even in the hard times. The thing I need to work on is time management. I have been saying that the last three terms, but I plan to actually go through with it. No matter the struggles, I plan to succeed in this course, and courses to come! Hope everyone is having fun and on the right track to our Final Project!

Unit 5 Overcoming challenges!

I can't believe we are half way through the term! I have been so busy with potty training, moving, and the dryer catching of fire(everything is black)!  We have been blessed to have so much help. There is a lot of cleaning left, but we are hoping to be back at the house by Christmas! School is still one of my top priorities, but it has been difficult, because the first 3 weeks my computer was down, due to the fire, and the one I was using didn't have microsoft office, so I am still making up work. I only have two option 2 seminars left, and Unit 1 assignment! I have a B in both my classees, and plan to bring them up to an A. Overcoming challenges is important in everyone's day to day life! God bless...

My favorite prewriting styles are brainstorming and outlining... how about everyone else?

Unit 4!

To wrap up Unit 4 I am going to tell everyone why I take plagiarism so seriously. Two terms ago in Medical Terminology I had a girl copy my initial DB post word for word. I went about solving the problem in the wrong way. I commented that I was looking for a different view to comment on and learn from, and instead found my thoughts. The professor then wrote me and said she had handled the problem, and erased our messages, because she didn't want a distraction in the DB. She was right. I should have emailed her instead of writing back. It is upsetting when you know you worked hard, and someone doesn't care to take the time to do so also. I love the way APA citing makes that easy to do when in the classroom! I need a little practice, because the only ones I am really familiar with are articles, and websites. So to be able to cite things in other place I need to review the guidelines.

Unit 3 :)

Unit 3 has helped me in creating a better thesis statement, but I have one problem. I am not sure of which topic I am going to use for my final project! In unit 2 I wrote about my three different choices, and if anyone has a suggestion it is greatly needed. I love writing, but I am very indecisive when picking what to write about.

Online learning! I think that online learning is a great way to get different outlooks on what you are learnig. The discussion boards gives us time to see other people's results when looking up the same topic. Also when it comes to blogging, you can get to know your classmates better, and get more help if you missed something in class. I believe blogging makes homework fun! I haven't got it all down, but I am really getting into it!

Well that is all I have for this Unit!
This week is going to be busy. Moving everything out of my smoke damaged house so it can start being remodeled. Sounds fun, right?!? Wtih two kids... lol

Unit 2 Blog!

Unit two has gave me a better understanding of blogging, and has put my mind into thinking mode about the topic for our final project! Any suggestions on these three topics may make it easier for me to choose! :)

1.The necessity/importance of proper nutrition.
2.Identifying and treating Adolescent Depression.
3.How prisons deal with mentally ill inmates.

This would be very helpful....

Hello everyone!

This is my first blog, so I am not sure what to say! My name is Christina Sumner, and I am enrolled in Kaplan to become a Medical Transcriptionist! I have the best husband in the world, and a beautiful little girl. I choose my profession, because I am interested in the medical feild, and I want to be able to be there for my family. I live in Joshua, Tx, which I just recently moved to. I don't know that many people yet, but I look foward to the change that god has blessed me with. While I am getting to know people there, I will be getting to know everyone in this class! Sounds great! Well any comments or suggestions on how to make blogging fun, and easy are welcome.
